Uddrag
The narrator is very observant, this is shown in her description of her surroundings “It rained this morning, a cleansing of sorts. Water drips from car mirrors and lampposts.”

” We turn onto Becker Street, where the path starts to curve upwards. The sun gleams at the end of the road and together we climb” she is not that great at handling change and needs stability in her life.

This could indicate that she might struggled when she was young and maybe didn’t have that stability she seeks in their relationship.

There are a few hints that the narrator might already be pregnant. First of all, her sensitivity to smell “Two that don’t smell like that jug of egg whites I left in the fridge for a month” “The room smells of cumin, of cinnamon” Especially in the early stages of pregnancy, smell can easily nauseate women. Another hint is her craving for raspberries.

Her craving is not there constantly, but she often feels the urge to eat raspberries. When she feels like that it’s hard for her to concentrate about anything else.
