In this movie we will see Hugh Glass, who was set out on a mission in the 1820s to guide a group of men through the American landscape.
On the way, Glass got attacked by a bear and got badly injured. The men go for help, leaving the injured man with his son and the man, Fitzgerald. It ends disastrously when Fitzgerald kills Hawk and leave the dying Glass alive.
the theme is willpower and individualism which you see in the film, but which is also an important value in the USA
The focus points are to make the American values clear in my analysis and get around these 3 points “Setting, main character and theme.
The setting in the film is very violent and harsh as you can also see in the hook. the movie is in a very cold landscape which also makes it much harder to survive for Hugh glass. The atmosphere between the men is also very bad, they don't talk nicely to each other.
