First of all, I would like to thank you for inviting me to this conference
it warms my heart to have the opportunity to talk about my work and thus tell my vision into women's lives in India.
I'm grateful I must spend some of your time here at The Mombay Congress Center today. First, I just want to tell you a little bit about myself, my name is Sille and I'm a sociologist, I've spent many years studying the role of women in Indian society.
Discrimination and oppression of women in India is widespread. But when you look at the work the Indian government is doing, there could be hope in the future for a more equal country.
The government has made 3 very important initiatives. Among other things, they have helped, so there have been improvements in the field of education in India, as it is seen that more and more women are getting an education.
Unfortunately, more and more men are being trained. Unfortunately, as mentioned above, in 2018 India was considered the most dangerous place for women to find themselves.
Violence against women in India is a huge problem, which is why the government has also put in place a security measure to help protect their women from domestic violence both physically and psychologically .
