If we were to investigate why this article was written or you could say the circumstances of the article. It has something to do with the diner culture not only being a place you eat good food
but a place where you can socialize with other people. The main reason why the diners is an important place for many is because of the atmosphere where there will always be somebody to talk to.
In the society today there is a big problem with loneliness, and it is what this article covers. We can also bring in the title of the article to talk about circumstances.
The title overall gives the topic of the article - the diner culture in New York. But the word “vanishing” gives a further focus point to the readers, which is, that the culture is falling apart because of the diners closing.
The first bit of the title where is says “more than coffee” gives a direction back to the circumstances and why this text was written in the first place.
