Hello fellow students at Stanford University of California. My name is Lily and, I am student of marketing and economics.

Thanks to Stanford University for giving me the opportunity to speak for you. In this speech I will talk about McDonald’s, and the current problems in the company.

I will also like to talk about McDonald’s new turnaround strategy, and if it could help solve the problems they have.

This speech will last about one hour. I will appreciate if questions are asked after my speech and not under.

First, I will like to talk a little bit about the subject, so everyone knows what I will be which problems, I will discuss in this speech.

McDonalds is world’s largest fast-food chain, and serves for 70 million people every day, and they had 10 years of significant overperformance, but in the past 6 years McDonalds have had a rough time, and the sales in the U.S. stores haven’t been positive since October 2013.

In November 2014 McDonalds had a fall on 4,6%, which was the biggest drop in 14 years. (BUSINESS INSIDER 2014) (Bloomberg Businessweek, 2014)
