My name is xx, and I occupy myself with entrepreneurship focusing on food waste. For years, I have been thinking a lot about food waste and I slowly began being more and more environmentally friendly. I found out that food waste has a very big influence on climate changes, and food waste alone causes 10% of greenhouse gases.
I have been invited to come and tell you about the impact of food waste today, and, for me, it’s an opportunity that I won’t reject.
I hope you students will be interested in listening, because it is very relevant for you as students at Leiths School of Food and Wine. Furthermore, I am 100% percent sure that food waste will have a big influence on your future careers.
To give you a little overview of today’s presentation, I will first of all account for what food waste is and how it affects our community and our world. Secondly, I will tell you about what causes food waste and what we can do as individuals to reduce food waste.
Finally, I will tell you about my experiences and knowledge about how the reduction of food waste can be seen as a business opportunity.
