The video is a story about a school, who does the directly opposite of what everyone else does. Instead of making the classroom as high tech it's possible.
This school focus on learning the basic things in every single subject, without any sort of technology requiring more than a few watt.
The parents to these students and the teachers fully believe, that even though the school is placed in the middle of the very modern Sillicon Valley, the computers are not teachers, and therefore it's better if the students keep their computers at home and learn how to use these at home too.

In general i got the opinion that there is a huge amount of different pros and cons, when speaking about technology in the classroom.
First of all one of the pros about technology is, that it makes motivating students easier. In the 21. century nearly everyone in US and EU are using computers in their sparetime for almost everything.
We play games, watch movies, check the news, play some more games, chat with our grandparents who lives in Canada etc.
