We all have our own identity, and we can’t run from who we are. However, we might also have an expectation about who we are and who we want to be.
Many people don’t know who they are. When you think about it, are you the person you dreamed about, or are you, as many others, in an identity crisis?

The story has a first-person narrator. It means that we experience the story through the eyes of the narrator.
This means that the narrator can only describe the course of action based on everything that can be seen from the outside.
We can see that in the first line “I was sixteen and trying to be older and I was just about to make my first airplane flight” (p.1, l.1).
