Alastair Chisholm wrote the short story "Uncle Dougie's Suitcase" in 2018. We meet a young boy, his parents, and his Uncle Dougie in the plot.
Uncle Dougie is the boy's favorite uncle as he does not appear to be an adult and still gives him the best gifts. Uncle Dougie pays a visit to the boy and his parents in the story.
During his stay, the uncle tells the boy about how he got his suitcase. The story centers around the airport luggage carousel as well as what occurs behind its closed doors.
He speaks about his friend Charlie throughout the story, and how he vanished behind those doors and was never seen again after breaking the unspoken rule of the airport luggage carousel, that would be not to open your eyes when passing through it.
