Good morning everyone, my name is Frederikke Petersen, and I am a student at the School of Social Sciences at the University of Manchester.

I am glad that I have been invited here today to give my view of animalism and the pros and cons that it entails.

Before I start talking about animalism, I'd like to show you a picture, and I want you to tell me what you think when seeing it, are you ready for that? Are there any of you who can figure out what the picture represents?

Thank you for your help. I would like you to share this picture in your thoughts throughout my speech.

My speech today is going to address animalism and its situation. Now we will look at the agenda for today.

I will start with a short presentation of animalism, followed by the pros and cons of animalism, and finally, sum up the main points.

Animalism has many parallels to communism, but I will go into that later. The idea of animalism comes from the Old Major, who is a respected pig who takes care of his fellow animals.

He thinks that humans are the problem, and if the animals hold together, everything will get better.

These ideas, with the help of other pigs on the farm including Napoleon, Squealer and Snowball, are developed further on, and old Major's beliefs are gathered in a complete thought system consisting of 7 commandments called animalism.

These commandments are placed on the wall of the barn. The overall focus is on "all animals are equal", but this ideology fails as the pigs strive more and more for power, which make the animals move further and further away from their original principles

and their behavior became more and more like the humans as they try to get away, this is made clear by, among other things, by the animals' commandments,'' Whatever goes upon two legs is an enemy."

However, the revolution becomes a problem because the pigs feel the stench of failure coming on.

The problem starts when the pigs Snowball and Napoleon would like to have the farm in their own way, they have different opinions on everything politically, which causes many disagreements on the farm.
