Indledning
Humans as individuals are different. We are born and raised by different people, in diverse environments. Some are born with more privileges than other. some are born with money, and some are born without.
However, one thing humans have in common, is that we all have a story, regarding of where we are from or what social class we belong to, we all have a personal story that define who we are and who we will become.

The narrator grew up in a poor neighbourhood, inhabited mostly by immigrants and their children.

I was surrounded by this, the inevitable fights and the competing beats of soca, reggae, reggaetón and rap” (ll. 30-32).
This indicates that the environment, the narrator grew up in was poor, lively and violent, where multiple different religions and cultures blend, and clash with each other, which sometimes creates conflict between people.
