Everyone will constantly have an opinion on how other people look, talk, think and act. Countless homosexual people still get beaten up on the streets and black people continually experience racial segregation in the United States.

The above mentioned are controversial topics that people escape from in public debates on the grounds that they know that not everyone will agree with them. But why do people feel so afraid to speak up on their opinions?

As to where the debate about the campaign begins. After the campaign was released social media exploded with people expressing their point of view in the debate.

On one side were the people who burned their Nike shoes and cut off the identical Nike. (1:30) These people also promoted the hashtags “#JustBurnIt” and “ #BoycottNike.”

These people were strongly against the campaign. Another person who also disliked the campaign was former president Donald Trump. He stated: “...Get that son of a bitch off the field right now. Out! He’s fired.

He’s fired!” (p. 3, l. 4). Also, Trump was convinced that Nike had not expected this kind of feedback from the society.
