Hello citizens of District 12 and welcome to this time of year where another game are about to begin.
I am the mayor of this district and I am here today to welcome you all to the 74th of the Hunger Games. I am happy to be here and I hope you are so.
Years ago the country which was once called North America were suffering from a range of disasters:
droughts, fires, floods and storms. Disasters, which destroyed the country we once knew. Then occurred what today’s known as Panem.
From every district, one boy and one girl in the age between 12-18, is chosen to participate in the game.
The rules of the game are simple: To kill or be killed. This is a fight to death. All the 24 tributes fights against each other in what can be turned into a bloodbath. You are all enemies from the second you enters the arena.
The game is over when there is only one tribute left - One winner. The winner gets rewarded with gifts and wealth. The nation also will receive lots of food and prizes.
Through the time, for as long as the game has existed, we have represented two winners of the game.
