When you are at a family dinner, or a neighborhood barbeque do you actually care or worry about the food that is served?
Most people don’t realize that a large part of what they think is “just normal food” is actually processed.

Michael Pollan argues that processed food is not real food and uses 7 words to describe a good eating habit: Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants. He calls processed food edible food-like substances.
His advice is to lean towards the produce section and the quieter foods that doesn’t scream how healthy it is.
[4] Because apples unlike the processed foods have no packages and no budget, that means it cannot try to sell itself to you.
One might argue that ultra-processed food is a good thing, because nobody is forcing anyone to buy it. You have the choice to purchase the food you want.
And it should be common sense to avoid food with low nutritional values, right? Processed food also has a longer shelf life and are much cheaper to produce
and as Michael Pollan says we have another choice that is to just surrender to the processed food and wait for evolution to adapt us to it.
