Indledning
In this essay I would like to analyze the text called “Farida´s eyes”. The writer is called Laila Aboulela, she is born in 1964 in Kairo, Egypt.
The text was written in 2015. The genre is short story, but also fiction because the story is made up, but it could easily be a real story.
The text “Farida´s eyes” is about the girl who have eye problems, she has a big problem in seeing. All her teaches does not find it a real problem and thinks that is something she makes up.

Farida is the main character in this text. She might be around the teenage age. Her eyes are not good, her eyesight is so bad that she can hardly see the blackboard on her school when she sits in the backrow.
In the start of the story Farida was one of the best in her class, as it says in the text here: “Farida learned like she breathed, without ceremony, without. Effort.
Information entered. Her mind with ease and she picked up skills with grace and gratitude.” But as her eyes began to be worse, she got lazier in her school and started to talk with the girls she never would have talked to if she were a pusher (stræber).
As soon she got glasses, she pulled herself together and started to be good at school again, she became a pusher again.
