Hello, my name is Peter, I’m 17 years old and attending the parkland school. Today i’ll be talking about youth crimes and especially youth violence in the UK.
These topics has had a really big impact on my life ever since last summer, where my best friend almost was beaten to death.

54 teenagerswere stabbed to death throughout 2007 and 2008. These were the breakout years for youth violence in the UK.
In these years the financial crisis hit the UK, which led to a chock in the UK’s community. Ever since 2007 and 2008 young people has started to leave school and entering the labour market.
A lot of the youth society felt let down by the system, and it was like the youth has started a rebellion against the modern society in the UK.
The youth became frustrated and let the anger out to the society. Some turned their anger into assault or homicide, where others directed the anger inwards and started self-harm or even suicide.
I don’t think investing in a better social safety net is the right way to approach this massive problem. People sees the rising violence as a public health problem, which I think is completely wrong.
