Indledning
The film is about a young and aggressive boy named Shaun. Shaun has a hard time in school, where an older kid bullies him. Shaun meets some older kids on his way home from school. He later gets new clothes and a shaved head, so that he fits into their skinhead gang.
Shaun becomes good friends with the gang and finds love, but later on, he chooses to leave them to fight for England together with a man named Combo, to make his deceased Dad proud. As Combo kills someone from Shauns old crew and shows more and more of why he had been in prison, Shaun regret leaving his old skin- head crew behind.

The film takes place in 1983, in England. The characters live in a place or a town, close to the coast, which we can see in the beginning of the movie, where Shaun travels around on his bike after being bullied in school. Shaun and his mom is like most of the characters, a part of the lower social class.
They live in a terraced house, in a standard english residential area. Despite that, they live in an en- vironment, which is more wealthy, and more towards the middle class, than the majority of the films characters.
Characters like combo and banjo, who lives in a socially exposed housing estate, is more a part of the so called “slum”, than the actual lower class, which is where the other skinheads live.
We also meet people from both the middle and the upper social classes, primarily at the meet- ing of the national front, as well as Smell, whos father works at an oil platform.
Therefore, to sum up, we meet many different characters in lots of different social classes. The so- cial environment distinguish from one person to another, but the film primarily focus on the lower classes of the English society in the year 1983.
