While we are debating about walls, I cannot help but think of the Stonewall riots. It is not actually a physical wall or a mental one. Like the wall’s you guys have been discussing. It is the name of a gay bar in New York.

The bars full name was the Stonewall Inn, but in queer communities it is just called the Stonewall.
It was a place for gay men, drag queens and trans gender women (which back then were just considered to be crossdressers) to come and be themselves.
It was a time where being gay was looked down upon, even more than now adays and crossdressing was illegal.
Back then there was a law that said you needed to wear at least three “gender appropriate” items of clothing and not doing so could get you arrested.
It was partially because of this that it was not uncommon for the police to come in and raid the bar, without any warning.
