Dear students at Washington Waldorf High School It is a pleasure for me to be here today to deliver a speech about the American political system.
To start with I would like to introduce myself. My name is Julie and I am from Denmark. I work as an intern in Washington D.C in an organization, which works for more knowledge about the American political system, which I am going to talk more about today.
If you want to raise money for your campaign, you can raise it by instance request companies, industries and so on to make donations. It can be done through TV advertisements, the media, and visits to many states and towns. The list can go one.
In the USA, there are two parties that dominate the political scene. It is the Democratic and the Republican Party. I am going to start talking about the Democratic and then the Republican Party.
The Democratic Party go back to 1791 when the party was called the Democratic-Republican Party. The leaders behind the party were James Madison and Thomas Jefferson.
They believed in favor of the states having individual rights. They strongly dislike big business and wanted to protect the rights and freedom for the farmers.
