Hallo my, name is Katinka I am 16 years old and I live in Denmark, you guys may not know were Denmark is located, well Denmark is a very small country located in Scandinavia in northwest Europe
between Germany and the other Scandinavian country Sweden. Denmark capital is call Copenhagen and I live in a very small city called Jægerspris, it’s about a 45 minutes’ drive from Copenhagen.

Fist off all I want to talk about the Danish school system. The Danish school system is very different compared to the American high school.
Fist off all is it called “Gymnasium”. The Danes fist off all attends middle/private school like Americans.In Denmark it takes 9 years. After that Danes can apply to high school if they graduate from middle/private school with a good grade.
If you don´t have a good GPA you can ether apply to a lower, but also nice education or you can apply for admission sample and hope for the best.
In Denmark you can choose between 3 different lines on high school STX, HTX and HHX I attend HHX which is the school for students who loves economics and marketing.
May sound boring but I am really glad that I choose this kind of high school - because I think it’s really interesting and I really like the classes and teachers on my school.
