In 2009, Barack Obama gave a speech to the students in the United State at Wakefield High School in Arlington, Virginia. It was the remarks by the president in a national address to America´s schoolchildren.

The speaker of this speech is Barack Obama, who is at this point currently president of the United States.

He is the first African American president in US history and served as the 44th president of the United States from 2009 to 2017.

To inspire the students, Obama tells how his wife, First Lady Michelle Obama, who came from a home without education, and almost no money.

But they worked hard, and she worked hard, so she could go to the best schools in this country. The attention of the speech is to inspire student, no matter what background they have.

“Every single one of you has something that you're good at. Every single one of you has something to offer. And you have a responsibility to yourself to discover what that is.

That's the opportunity an education can provide”. He wants the students to go after their dreams, and that will help with an education.

He summed up some historical events from 250, 75, and 20 years ago. He said the students could be apart of a new story.
