The Democratic National Convention is to officially nominate a candidate for president and vice president, adopt a comprehensive party platform and unify the party.
It is something that held every four years since 1832. The speaker of the 2020 Democratic National Convention speech, is the American lawyer and former first lady of the US, Michelle Obama.
Michelle Obama used her own story as a great example of becoming something unusual by simply looking high in the eye and aiming for a goal. “Instead, it should be up to me to reach my goal.
I will have to map my own course.” This shows that she tried to show her own personal life experience and got the young students to compare themselves with her.
She spoke to sophomores as if they were equals, and that may have given the students a sense of being in the same boat and the sense of identification.
