Indledning
It’s a story about a girl, who just came home from the hospital. She was a victim of a terrible accident. She has a boyfriend, who is there for her to come through this situation.
This accident was really painful for her and she would rather die than live the life she got after the operation.

After she got the operation her friends tried to help her with the situation by telling her stories about people that managed to live normal lives and they said a member from the British royal family even had a similar operation.
One of the things she couldn’t take was that people assumed that the operation was for a lifetime, but she still believed that after six weeks (or three months) the doctors would close her wound and as she says in the story
“She would be whole again, repaired, everything would work” (p.1, l. 34-35). When she was on her way to the hospital for the exploratory operation she told her husband: “
If it turns out to be bad, if it gets very bad … at any time, you promise you’ll help me out of it. I would do it for you” (p. 2, l. 27-29).
