We need to act now. Food waste has become a huge problem around the globe.
Roughly one-third of the food produced for humans is wasted each year. approximately 1,3 billion tonnes of food is thrown out.
What is the solution? Many people would like to know that answer, but it seems difficult to find the right solution. Many companies are trying to make a difference.
We are on the right path as a united world but there is a long way to go. Reducing food waste is one of the sustainable development goals.

It was a huge effort and a step closer to finding the right method to reduce food waste. But you can’t just hand out free stuff and expect people to help.
We all need to be a part of this project and stand side by side if we want to make it possible. Sainsbury dropped the project after seeing the shocking results.
Rotten results is probably a better way to say it. Sainsbury spent 10 million pounds on this very project.
The expectation was to reduce food waste by 50% but they only managed to reduce it by 9%. 9% is still a good chunk but nowhere near the goal. Should they have kept on going?
