Indledning
A big challenge in life, is to figure out who you are, and who you want to be. Often this can lead to a personal conflict in your life, because it may be hard to achieve your goals and dreams, if you don’t know who you are, and which person you want to be. In the short story “Deported at breakfast”, written by Larry Fondation, this theme is discussed. First, I want to analyse the setting of the story. Secondly, I want to analysis the relationship between the persons, and finally, I got a conclusion, where I will tell about the theme and message of the story.

The story is about an unnamed main character, who were drinking a coffee and reading a newspaper, while waiting at his breakfast to be cooked, at a restaurant. Suddenly the authorities came in, grabbed the owner of the restaurant called Javier, and deported him. No one seemed to see Javier’s disappear, except from the main character, who stepped in from Javier. The story is told from the main characters point of view.
