Clearly, she acknowledges and recognizes the bigger problems in the U.S. in a way with honest manner, by appealing to both pathos and ethos.

Michelle expresses her kindheartedness for the children of the country, and she also appeals to pathos by mentioning:

“But right now, kids in this country are seeing what happens when we stop requiring empathy of one another.”

Statics is also brought up to gain credibility, which appeals to logos. She uses big data (real numbers and facts) to support her statements.

These added numbers in the speech also visualize her statements: “When my husband left office with Joe Biden at his side, we had a record-breaking stretch of job creation.
