McDonald’s is an American fast-food company that was founded in 1940 as a hamburger stand.
It was operated by Richard and Maurice McDonald. It was just a hamburger stand at first, but later it became a franchise where it was introduced in 1953.
In 1955 a man named Ray Kroc joined the company as a franchise agent. Today McDonald’s is one of the biggest fast-food franchises in the world.
McDonald’s is one of the most successful global restaurant chains around the world. They have used productive management and global expansion strategies to gain a share of the foreign fast-food market.
McDonalds have 34.000 restaurants in 118 countries. That just shows how successful they are global.
- Product Range
McDonald’s have all kind of products. They have beefburgers, chickenburgers, fish burgers, veggie burgers, salads, they also have different types of drinks like soda, milkshake, coffee and they also have ice cream.
Their most famous product is the big mac, all the McDonalds around the world has the product big mac.
The price level of the products is good because there are cheap items and expensive items. For example, a cheeseburger only costs 10 Krones and that is really cheap for a burger, but at the other end a filet o fish burger costs 30 Krones.
So, the price level of the products is very different. There is maybe one problem, because I usually don’t get full after a meal from McDonald’s and if you look at it at that point, the food can be expensive because then you have to buy more food to be full at McDonald’s.
