This essay of the Netflix series Making a Murderer documentary episode 1, will contain an analysis and an examination that will give us the best understanding of the documentary.

The documentary is about a man named Steven Avery who is from Manitowoc County Wisconsin. Steven Avery served 18 years in prison for a rape he didn’t commit. In the episode, we get to know Steven and his family “the Avery’s”.

They used the appeal form logos, when we were in the police department, show us how they portray Steven and that the evidence didn’t match him. The evidence of the trial is the mystery in this whole case.

In the scenes between 28-30.20, a new suspect, Gregory Allen, were found as a much greater match of the case than Steven, and who had a history of committing sexual assault and were also found at the crime scene that particularly day.

However, the sheriff didn’t look further into it, even though there were evidence pointing at Gregory and not Avery. Steven Avery was the scapegoat.

There were a lot of victims in the documentary, and Steven Avery is one of them. He lost his free-dom, lost years with his family and friends and the ability to accomplish something professionally.
