Indledning
Kiss and Tell is a short story written by Sam Jones. The main themes for this short story are sexuality and the whole issue of fitting in. It has a special focus on the importance of coming out and be confident in your sexual choices.

The short story starts with an introduction to Seimon, which is clearly undeveloped in comparison to his peers. We also get to know Dylan Roberts, whom Seimon has these sexual fantasies about. Dylan is gay and hides it because he thinks his colleagues were intolerant of these types of people.

Seimon’s peer suspects him one day for many reasons but mainly because of his actions against Jane Jones. In a period of time, his fantasies about Dylan grows into bigger things. One day Seimon sits with the representative of the School Council, Shan Jenkins because she realized that Seimon was isolated a lot.

Seimon presents his fantasies for Shan, which got interpreted as reality. Shan felt responsible as a representative and she blabs it to the link teacher Ann Puch, which leads to the suspension of Dylan Roberts.

The overall theme of sexuality is the core of the short story, but also a central part of every character. The narrative expresses that in the start especially by giving an introduction of the characters, in terms of their discovery of the sexual life and their sexuality.

It’s not just the head characters that are connected to this theme. All of Seimon’s peers are starting to expand their knowledge about sex and the feelings of love and sexual satisfaction can give. E.g. Jane Jones is offering the boys to touch her breast through her sweatshirt, which hints at the sexual discovery of the other gender.
