Indledning
Kiss and Tell is a short story written by John Sam Jones. It begins “in medias res” with an introduction of our main character, Seimon. The overall theme of the short story is sex and identity.

At the beginning of the short story, we get introduced to Seimon. He is 14 years old. Compared with his peers, he has not yet entered puberty.

We also get introduced to his gay teacher, Dylan Roberts, but he concealed this from his colleagues, because the situation regarding homosexuality in Wales is not good.

Seimon had sexual fantasies about Dylan, and when he found out that Dylan was gay, the situation became clearer.

It’s very difficult for Seimon to fit in, so he feels like he’s isolated. “When the boys he hung around with seemed not to want to see him, he wondered if he’d made himself too insignificant. Being lonely was horrible.
