Indledning
The short story “Just like that” was written in 1987 by Michael Richards. The story starts with a man and a boy sitting in a car, the man is telling the boy that he killed a kangaroo “Dead” said the man “just like that”.
He is demanding boy to make the boy do the same thing. The man is also putting a lot of pressure on the boy to do it, and the boy agrees.

And the boy was speechless after the man shot it dead. After shooting a couple the boy asked what to do with the dead bodies, but the man just told him just to let them rot.
That just shows how little amount of respect the man has for the kangaroos even when there are dead. They walk away and it is written how the boy feels confident and strong while holding his rifle.
The man does not trust the boy and tells him not to walk behind him, if the boy had the nerve to shoot him. Then they come across more kangaroos and the man said, “If you can’t do it now, you never will”.
