receiver, appeal forms and linguistic features. Based on my analysis I will assess how successfully Joe Biden communicates his message.

Joe Biden was elected as the new president of the United States on January 20, 2021, after winning the 2020 U.S. presidential election over incumbent Republican Donald Trump.

As he describes in his speech there is a lot to do “We'll press forward with speed and urgency for we have much to do in this winter of peril and significant possibility.

Much to do, much to heal, much to restore, much to build and much to gain.” As I mentioned earlier he is president during an on-going pandemic

which gives him a certain amount of pressure from the nation. All the citizens are counting on him, and therefore he has to do one hell of a job.

January 20, 2021, Joe Biden delivered his first remarks as the president of the United States of America.

While the substance of President Biden’s inaugural speech was unique to the challenges faced by his incoming administration and its subsequent priorities

the language used to express that message shared many unique insights into the linguistic style we can expect from the new American people.
