Short announcements with strong words. We need to remember, that this speech could be his entry ticket for the election. And because of that, Biden is ready to lay it on thick when it comes to his personal qualities, opinions, and promises.
An example could be: “Here and now, I give you my word: If you entrust me with the presidency, I will draw on the best of us, not the worst.
I will be an ally of the light not of the darkness.” (ll. 11-12 p. 1). Biden's use of the sentence “an ally of the light” is a little too much.
