Why did I choose this topic?
What is the problem?
What can be done to solve the problem?
My own opinion
I chose this topic because, I think it is a much relevant and an important issue to discuss. And I also think it is an interesting topic because it could not be more different from our problems and beliefs here in Scandinavia or in Europe for that matter.
We are so used to having safe boundaries and a society without any worrying about getting shot in school, in your local mall or on the street.
I myself have been to the US several times and have seen their country on firsthand and therefor I would love to learn more about this topic and the reasons behind.
In the US, it is not unusual for people to have a gun. In fact, almost every adult can own or carry one. It is seen as a person's basic right to be allowed to do this.
That is because when the country was founded, the right to buy or carry a gun was written into the constitution back in the 18th century
so buying and owning a gun is something that American people have been allowed to do for a very long time. They simply do not know any better.
