Ecocriticism can be divided into four subcategories. The four categories are “the wilderness” which is primarily deserts and oceans, “the scenic sublime” which consists of mountains, waterfall, cliffs, forests and lakes, “the countryside” consists of woods, hills, and fields and the last one is “the domestic picturesque” which consists of lanes, gardens and parks.

In the front of the picture you see the woods on the right and a house on the left with some people walking outside the house. In the middle there is a field which is connected to the farm.

This is where the woods and fields are portrayed. In the background you´ll see the lake, hills and the woods in the right corner. That's exactly what categorizes the countryside.
