Indledning
Drugs, alcohol and homelessness among young people is a growing subject in the world today. Kids who is down to the age of 13, leaves or are thrown out of their homes, due to their bad and serious behavior. We hear of a such child in the short story “Crusader Rabbit”.
In the history, we meet Jeremy, a 13-year-old boy, who is homeless and addicted to drugs, and his new friend Raglan who is an adult and also homeless.
They live together in Raglan's truck. They use the truck to get around the San Francisco Bay area, to collect cans, so they can sell them and live for the money they earn.
In the text we hear about a situation, where Raglan and Jeremy are searching some containers for cans but suddenly finds a dead black baby.
Raglan has experienced it before, but for Jeremy, it's the first time and he gets very upset. Instead of contacting the police and reporting their knowledge of the dead baby, they decide to take it in their own hands and bury the baby a beautiful place.

Uddrag
On the hill Raglan and Jeremy burriest the dead baby. It seems like at this point Jeremy starts to understand the world in another way. He kind of understands the meaning of lives and what actually happens when you die. It is kind of an eye opening moment for Jeremy I think.
