I have chosen to write about the main character of the story, the young man who throughout the story remains unnamed.
And it helps highlight that his inner thoughts and feelings are the focus of the story, at the same time the absence of the name which is a symbol for identity.
Further stresses the idea that the young man is struggling between his parents’ expectations, and assumptions of who he is, and living a life on his own terms.

Clever. From what the text tells us, it can be said that the young man is very intelligent. He is at top of his class at Harvard.
