Good afternoon. My name is Laura Brown, and I am an American exchange student from Texas. I appreciate being invited here to give my take on capital punishment in the United States of America.

The death penalty is a difficult topic and there will always be spokesmen and adversaries of it. An example could be a Gallup study from 2014 shows that “Most Americans recognize this principle as just.”
4 Already five years after, a new study of Gallup shows that “most Americans say they prefer life imprisonment with no possibility of parole to the death penalty as the appropriate punishment for murder.”
5 Exactly are these studies similar to the studies from Lake Research Partners. Maybe already in five years it looks completely different.
