The green squares show the 27 states in the U.S that has death penalty today. And 3 of them Have a Moratorium on the Death

Penalty wich is these orange squares, and that means that these 3 states can temporarely delay executions, and if we take a look on the blue squares, we see the states that has abolished the deat panelty.

( Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky. Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and Wyoming.

If you take a look on this map of the US, you can see that most of the states that allows death penalty, is close to each other, wich shows a little connection between these states.

Another connection between these states is most of them are voting for the same party, but surprisingly the voting is quit spread out.

In todays america More Americans favor than oppose the death penalty: 60% of U.S. adults favor the death penalty for people convicted of murder. About 39% oppose the death penalty.

And america in 2018 we can see that also as before, americans favor than oppose the death penalty: 54% of us adults favors the death panelty and 39% oppose the death panelty

if we compare these 2 surveys you can clearly tell that there hasn't been so many changes In today's america majority favors the death penalty, but 8/10 see some risk in executing the innocent.
