Uddrag
The world is so tiny, but yet so different. It's appropriately brutal to Imagine how two countries on the same planet can be so different.

While some countries are privileged, some countries are not so privileged. There are countries where you grow up under strict conditions and get told what you can do and cannot do.

While at the same time, in more privileged countries, you live under loose conditions, why is that? In the story "Know how lucky you are" by Danielle Ramani

we meet Jack and Leyla. The story takes place In England, while Jack is more specifically located near a UK border agency.

One day Jack decides to skip school because of a math assignment. So he heads over to a flat concrete near the bus stop, where he accidentally meets Leyla.

He ends up meeting Leyla, who is an Iran refugee. Jack takes Leyla on a trip, which forever changed Jack's perspective on how lucky he is.

The story consists of various flashbacks. At the start of the story, all the events had already taken place, and Jack only had the picture from his phone he could look back at.

Afterward, we hear about the incident that happened about a year ago when his dad left him and his mom.

Then there is a flashback to when Jack decides to skip school and where he meets Leyla. "Closing his eyes, Jack drifted back"

We see Jack trying to escape reality and just want to drift back to the time with Layla, in his imagination.

The novel starts at a mid-point and contains three parts: Jack is looking back at the picture of him and Layla.
