While the need for the newest fashion and clothing from consumers is at its highest, so is the need for climate change. People buy clothes to then go on and discard it when it is no longer in style.

The clothing industry is the second highest polluter of clean water , will the consumers keep paying low prices for fast fashion or will they make a change and buy responsibly to stop climate changes?

Corporate social responsibility is important to consumers because it does not only improve the perception of the company, but it creates a satisfaction and loyalty between the company and consumer.

Even though many Americans have these strong beliefs they still prefer something new and in style.

“They might be shopping with a socially- and environmentally-conscious heart, but their sense of style and their wallets are guiding them in a completely different direction as they make their way to the check-out.”

This makes the consumers hypocritical, leaving companies to create both types of clothing, and not making a change in the industry. Why would millennials demand sustainability from companies but not buy it?

The importance of corporate social responsibility, known as CSR, is a very important thing for most companies.

If we go more in depth with CSR which is one of the essential things in a company's strategy to have a successful business, as new research implies that brands that have an excellent CSR consistently outperform the brands which do not have a good CSR.
