Firstly, let's look at what immigration is and how the law is designed.
When we talk about immigrants we usually talk about illegal immigrants or immigrants that comes to the country to do high-skilled jobs - these are the immigrants that would usually be accepted.
The US immigration is based on the following principals: reunification with families, admitting immigrants who’s got skill, that are valuable for their economy, protecting refugees and promoting diversity.
Family bases immigration is accepted if the fellow immigrant is married or engaged with a US citizen.
But there is an exception if an immigrant is not eligible to come, even if they qualify, an example of that could be is the immigrant has committed a crime
or if the State Department decide that they are a security risk or if they will need welfare. High-skilled immigrants gets accepted most of the times, but there are a few requirements to be accepted as a high-skilled immigrant.
They must have extraordinary abilities in for example the business industry - these types of immigrants don’t need a job offer, like the people with a bit lower intelligence needs to have.
