Hello, my fellow students at Boston university, my name is Castro Escobar, I am 21 years old and come from Mexico. I study American culture and history here at Boston university.
I am on my senior year here, so I want to make an impact on how you look at America and immigrants.
Today I am going to be talking about the trends in the current debate on immigration in the US and we are going to discuss the impact of immigration on American identity, culture and economy.

The lower wages help the small business’ grow, for a lower cost. And generally, the jobs native Americans want are rarely the jobs immigrants have.
The food you get from farms usually also cost less with the farmers not having to pay high wages to the workers.
First generation immigrants do cost the government money, in terms of education and more. But when the children of the first generations children are some of the strongest economical and physical contributors in the US.
They contribute more to taxes than their parents and the rest of the native-born population. What do you think? Is the migration helping the American economy or is the economy getting worse by migration?
