Good morning everyone. My name is Don, I am a fellow student at Boston University, and I am here to talk about the current debate on immigration in the United States of America.
I am very honored to have gotten the privilege to hold a speech today. As most of you know the current trends and opinions on immigration have met an increasing amount of negativity, in this country, after the Trump administration has taken the seat in the White House.

A study from the University of Oxford & Citi states that two thirds of the US economic growth since 2011 has been directly contributed by immigrants.
These studies are conducted by authoritative institutions and the studies show that not only do immigrants boost the economy, but they can additionally relieve problems like our aging population.
But that is not all, US immigrants are more likely to start a business, create a patented innovation and win awards.
This entrepreneur like mindset come from their own behavior and risk-taking choices such as migrating to the US. 30% of all American businesses comes from immigrants even though they only make up 15,3% of the population.
