Influencer marketing is increasing heavily right now because lots of people join the social media. In 2019, the number of active users on Instagram grew from 100 million in February 2013 to 1 billion in June 2018.
In proportion to the growth of active users of Instagram the number of influencers would increase which meant more marketing. Many companies have realized that influencer marketing is actually a really good way of promoting and selling a product or a brand. So, let us say that you are following a model.
For instance, you are risking that the pictures the model post of her clothing maybe is not her own style and maybe she does not even like it but she is still wearing it because she is getting paid for it.
There are several pros and cons and why and why not to pay influencers to promote your brand. The reason why it is good marketing is that you can be almost 100% sure that you will hit the target group it was destined to hit and because there are so many users on the social media. And as mentioned, on just Instagram there are right now around 1 billion users.
