WHY DID I CHOOSE THIS TOPIC?
The reasons why I choose this topic is because I find it interesting. A lot of people think that teen pregnancies is just dumb teens hooking up, and then accidentally the girl ends up pregnant.

But there is much more to the topic than that! It’s like people tend to forget all the side effects of it, the girls have to go through.

Besides my personal interest, it’s also a worldwide thing. Therefore, I also wanted to compare teen pregnancies in the US to other units.

What are the major causes of teen pregnancies?
Lack of information
The lack of information is a big part of the major causes!

Believe it or not, some states in the US don’t provide their students with sex education, therefore it’s just not a common thing to care about in a lot of states, and they don’t have the same view on it, as we have in Denmark.

When we compare teen pregnancy rates from the US to e.g., the UK, a study shows that there are fewer coincidences of teen pregnancies in the UK.

In the US, the birth rate is 17.4 births per 1000 girls. Where in the UK it’s 16.7 birth per 1000 girls.
