Ladies and gentlemen, it is a pleasure for me to be here today to deliver a speech on renewable energy.
But first, I would like to quickly introduce myself. My name is Marcus and I have been studying here at this school for one and a half year now.
In this topic, we are going to talk about renewable energy, the pros and cons of it, and what we can expect from it in the future.
So, what is renewable energy you may ask? Renewable energy is defined as energy derived from renewable sources
sources that are not depleted within a person’s lifetime, such as wind, waves, sunlight and biomass. Basically, a better alternative to fossils fuels.
As a matter of fact, just one wind turbine will generate enough electricity to power up to 300 homes. It’s incredible right?
But is it really better? Well, if we start off with the pros of renewable energy. The great thing about renewable energy is that renewable energy promotes energy independence.
