Prospect House is a short story written by Frances Childs. It first appeared in Harlot red and was published by Serpent’s Tail in 2002.
The short story follows Kim, a girl who lost her job after getting Hepatitis B and therefore ends up in Prospect House.

Even the title refers to breaking out of the pattern as the word ‘prospect’ means possibility, chance and potential.
