Looking at the families it seems like a pro for the parents in general. They are in control of their children’s accounts online until they turn 13 (p. 2, ll. 39-40 (kilde 2)) and therefore they get a big part of the money.
This may seem like a big consequence for the kids, but that is not completely true. Thanks to a newer law invented in some states in the US, the Coogan Law, 15% of the earned money from their media is put aside in a trust fund till they are 18.
In that way the parents can’t get away with spending all the money (p. 4, ll. 65-69 (kilde 2)). Some people also see this kind of business as child labor and are probably going to accuse the parents of using their kids to get money
but most of the parents to kid influencers say that they don’t think that is the truth, because the kids are having fun making the videos and shooting the pictures.
