Homeschooling in the USA is becoming more and more popular. A lot of American parents prefer homeschooling instead of traditional schooling.
Homeschooling is on the rise in America. In 2012 there were 850,000 homeschooled children and in 2012 there were 1.8 million which is a doubling.
This essay will focus on why more families choosing homeschooling instead of traditional schooling and which students do best, and the pros and cons of homeschooling.

Why are more families choosing homeschooling now instead of traditional schooling? 34% of parents choose to homeschool because they want to avoid bad influences from other people such as drugs or negative peer pressure.
While 17% of parents say they homeschool because of dissatisfaction with academic instruction at traditional schools. Parents believe they can do a better job at home. In the video we hear about 3 families doing homeschooling, educating their kids differently.
The first family teaches their 3 boys where they focus on critical thinking and analysis, they do an eclectic approach to homeschooling where they focus on time management, a sense of certain goals.
They have time for socializing through sports. In the video, the mom said that “I think homeschooling has definitely allowed us to be a closer family”
by that quote it means that she thinks she has more time with her family, because she teaches them, and they get a lot of quality time together as a family.
